How to Care for Your Flowers

At The Social Atelier, we want your blooms to stay as beautiful as the moment they arrive. Follow these simple care tips to extend the life of your flowers.

🌸 Upon Arrival

• Unwrap your bouquet carefully and remove any packaging.
• Trim 2–3 cm off the stems at a 45° angle using sharp scissors or a knife.
• Place immediately in a clean vase filled with fresh, cool water.

💧 Water & Hydration

• Change the water every 1–2 days to prevent bacterial growth.
• Re-trim the stems each time you change the water.
• Keep the vase topped up — flowers drink a lot in the first 24 hours.
• Add the flower food sachet (if included) to the first vase of water.

🌡️ Temperature & Placement

• Keep flowers away from direct sunlight, heat vents, and air conditioning.
• Avoid placing near ripening fruit — ethylene gas shortens flower life.
• The cooler the room, the longer your flowers will last.
• Overnight, move your flowers to a cool spot for maximum longevity.

✂️ Daily Care

• Remove any wilted petals or leaves to keep the arrangement looking fresh.
• Mist the petals lightly with water to keep them hydrated in dry climates.
• Remove any leaves that fall below the waterline to prevent bacteria.

🌹 Rose-Specific Tips

• Roses love deep water — fill the vase at least halfway.
• If roses droop, re-cut the stems and place in warm water for 1 hour.
• Remove guard petals (the outer petals) if they look damaged — this reveals the beautiful bloom underneath.

💜 General Tips for UAE Climate

• The UAE heat can shorten flower life — always keep flowers indoors in air-conditioned spaces.
• Avoid leaving flowers in a hot car, even briefly.
• Hydrate more frequently during summer months.
